Anna loved her daughter, Amina, more than anything in the world. From the day Amina was born, Anna cared for her with patience and affection. However, as Amina grew older, Anna realized that her daughter depended on her for almost everything. She wanted Amina to become confident, responsible, and capable of taking care of herself in the future.
One morning, Anna decided it was time to teach Amina some important life skills. Instead of preparing everything for her daughter, Anna encouraged her to do simple tasks on her own. She asked Amina to put away her toys after playing and to help organize her small belongings. At first, Amina complained and wanted her mother to do the work for her.
Anna remained calm and explained, “Learning to do things yourself will help you become strong and independent. One day, you will be able to solve problems without always needing someone to help you.”
Over the next few weeks, Anna continued teaching her daughter new responsibilities. Amina learned how to tidy her room, take care of her favorite items, and make simple decisions by herself. Sometimes she made mistakes, but Anna gently guided her and encouraged her to try again rather than giving up.
Slowly, Amina began to understand why her mother was being strict. She noticed that each new skill made her feel proud and confident. She no longer felt afraid to try things on her own.
One evening, after successfully completing a task without assistance, Amina smiled and thanked her mother. Anna hugged her warmly and said, “I discipline you because I love you and want you to be prepared for life.”
From that day forward, Amina became more responsible, and the bond between mother and daughter grew even stronger.
