Lizza was a tiny orphan monkey who had already faced many hardships in her young life. Without her mother to protect her, she relied on the kindness of older monkeys and her best friend, Caca, who always stayed close whenever danger appeared.
One quiet afternoon, Lizza wandered near the edge of the forest searching for fallen fruit. Suddenly, a large wild male monkey rushed toward her. He was strong, aggressive, and determined to chase every smaller monkey away from his territory. Frightened, Lizza tried to run, but she was too slow.
The big male pushed her roughly, causing her to tumble onto the ground. She cried loudly in fear and pain. Her tiny body trembled as she called over and over, “Caca! Caca!” Tears filled her eyes while she struggled to stand.
Hearing Lizza’s desperate cries, Caca immediately raced through the trees. Without hesitation, Caca barked loudly and distracted the aggressive male. Several nearby monkeys joined in, making warning calls together. Outnumbered, the wild male finally backed away and disappeared into the forest.
Caca hurried to Lizza’s side and gently comforted her. Although Lizza had a few scratches and bruises, she was safe. She leaned against Caca, feeling grateful that she was no longer alone. The caring monkeys stayed with her until she felt calm again.
That frightening day reminded everyone in the troop that even the smallest orphan deserves protection and love. Lizza’s courage, combined with Caca’s quick response and the support of the group, turned a terrifying moment into a story of friendship, compassion, and hope. From then on, Lizza stayed closer to her friends, knowing that together they could face even the greatest challenges.
